Nevada Senate committee to discuss claiming sovereignty

CARSON CITY, Nev. (AP) -- The Nevada Senate Committee on Legislative Operations and Elections is scheduled to deliberate on a resolution to claim sovereignty under the 10th Amendment of the United States Constitution.

Senate Joint Resolution 3 proposes the Nevada Senate claim sovereignty as a state, thereby only recognizing federal jurisdiction in the areas enumerated in the U.S. Constitution. It would order a cease-and-desist for all current mandates deemed beyond those enumerated powers.

Any future attempts by the federal government that are outside its enumerated powers would be prohibited, as would threatening civil or criminal action for failing to enact one of the non-enumerated mandates.

The resolution would be sent to the president, vice president, leaders of both houses of Congress and members of the Nevada delegation to be entered into Congressional Record.

In September 1998, he attended a conference in Linz, Austria, devoted to information warfare, the use of data to get an edge over a rival. It was there, in front of 400 fellow delegates, that he first presented his theory about the collapse of the U.S. in 2010.

Mr. Panarin posits, in brief, that mass immigration, economic decline, and moral degradation will trigger a civil war next fall and the collapse of the dollar. Around the end of June 2010, or early July, he says, the U.S. will break into six pieces -- with Alaska reverting to Russian control.

California will form the nucleus of what he calls "The Californian Republic," and will be part of China or under Chinese influence. Texas will be the heart of "The Texas Republic," a cluster of states that will go to Mexico or fall under Mexican influence. Washington, D.C., and New York will be part of an "Atlantic America" that may join the European Union. Canada will grab a group of Northern states Prof. Panarin calls "The Central North American Republic." Hawaii, he suggests, will be a protectorate of Japan or China, and Alaska will be subsumed into Russia.

Le temps semble donner raison aux analyses panariniennes :

De plus en plus régulièrement dans ces temps de troubles et de structure crisique, la vie intérieure US est parcourue par des allusions, des remarques, voire des déclarations plus précises concernant la sécession possible de l’un ou l’autre Etat. Cette fois, il s’agit du gouverneur du Minnesota, à propos de son hostilité à la loi sur les soins de santé en train d’être débattue, dont il a dit qu’elle pourrait être refusée par son Etat selon le Dixième Amendement de la Constitution.

Las, le Minnesota n'aura plus vraiment l'opporunité d'évaluer la pertinance de la sécession...quoiqu'il arrive, et attendons nous à une autre chute de la République, les gouverneurs sauront prendre soin des Citoyens :
